Bucks is ready to scrap history by becoming the first NBA team to use
the services of women coaches. Bucks is monitoring Becky Hammon.
As reported by ESPN, Bucks plans to conduct an interview with Becky to become head coach. In NBA history there has never been a woman who became the main trainer.
Four years ago Becky incised the record as the first woman to be an assistant coach in the NBA when receiving a proposal San Antonio Spurs. Becky is currently an assistant to Gregg Popovich at Spurs.
The Bucks has asked Spurs for permission to talk to Becky. If allowed Becky would be the first woman interviewed to become head coach.
Senior journalist Adrian Wojnarowski reports Becky is not a prime candidate for Bucks coach next season. There are 10 other candidates being considered.
Women 41 years it is one of the best basketball women in the world while still actively playing. Becky has six times entered the WNBA All-Star.
After retiring in 2012, Becky immediately received an offer from Popovich to become assistant coach at Spurs. In 2015, Becky brought Spurs to win the NBA Summer League Championship.
