Jose Mourinho, indicating not keeping the squad that defeated AFC Bournemouth


Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has indicated he is not defending the squad that beat AFC Bournemouth for the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (21/04/2018).

In a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth, Manchester United appeared without some major players at the start of the game, such as Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia. Several upholstery players, such as Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini, and Marcus Rashford perform well when given the confidence by Mourinho.

However, Mourinho does not guarantee the players can re-appear in the next game. Mourinho admitted deliberately save his best players for the game against Tottenham Hotspur.


"I say every player who is playing well and is ready against Tottenham Hotspur I do not think they played phenomenal, but still look good and very eager to perform in the next game," said Mourinho.


"Honestly, I will do the rotation of the players and will not play this squad, I rest Matic, Valencia and some other players to be more fit, but all the players have a desire to appear against Tottenham Hotspur," he continued.


As against AFC Bournemouth, Manchester United win through goals by Chris Smalling (28 ') and Romelu Lukaku (70'). Special Lukaku, he just played to replace Jesse Lingard in the 62nd minute.Source: Manchester United
